HELLO DECEMBER

December 02, 2017

IT IS OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS TIME!  I officially have the right to blast Christmas carols whenever my heart wants. I love Christmas, not so much the Christmas day, just the season in general.  I love the first snow, Christmas lights, carols, the abundance of hot cocoa, decorating the tree, and the list goes on.

But, guys, how in the world is November already over?  In my mind it should still be the fourteenth.  November was a very nice (very fast) month.  I'm glad it's over in a way, though.
Moments

I bought new makeup brushes from Amazon.  I'm a very girly-girl and love makeup.  I don't wear a ton, but it's so much fun to apply.  If you are a makeup person, you should totally check out these makeup brushes.  They work so well and didn't cost too much.

Near the beginning of the month I noticed Newsies was on Netflix.  Being the theatre nerd I am, I wanted to watch it ASAP.  The filming was so professional, and it was just amazing in general.  The poor guy's head is spinning.

My friends had a volleyball night at their house, which was a blast.  Somehow, I managed to get the ball over the net almost every time I hit it.  Volleyball is seriously so much fun.  Then we played Sardines, which was... Interesting, to say the least.  But very fun, all the same.

We went for so many walks in the Bosque.  Although most of the leaves are gone, it was still beautiful.

I joined the Cameras and Pens Challenge just before the last entry.  I wrote a poem I'm pretty happy with.

And of course, what's November without Thanksgiving?  We went over to our Grandparent's house.  Our aunt had decorated the sun room so fall-ish-ly, but it was very warm.  The high was around 75 degrees.  That's New Mexico for you!  Then we played tons of board games and it was overall a nice day.  Have you ever played Pit?  We sounded like the seagulls from Finding Nemo.

Listening to all the Christmas carols.  Seriously, I think I'm going to drive my family crazy.

Reading some amazing books.  Every Soul a Star and The Girl Who Could Fly, I snatched up at the library.  Plus, my Peter (Seriah, really), lent me some fabulous books, during an extremely cozy evening at her house.  <3

One last thing, if you guys could pray for us that'd be great.  My little sister and I have to visit our dad for Christmas (our parents are divorced), so our family is going to be all split up.  We are completely dreading it as our dad is a total manipulator, so Christmas is exactly going to be at it's finest this year.  If you guys could pray, we'd really appreciate it.
Blogging

Last Saturday I was really busy because of the holiday, so I missed posting.  I technically could have written something really fast, but it wouldn't have been the quality I wanted.  But I think I still did an okay job keeping up with my schedule.

Are there any posts you'd like to read?  Comment below and tell me!

  2. I do not play volleyball...I’m not very good at it, but it is fun to do at youth events. My Thanksgiving was good! We got to go visit a lady from church too, and she’s the sweetest ever!

Oh, I’d love to see a post about how or what you take your pictures on Instagram with! They’re so beautiful!! I kind of low-key like photography...

I’ll definitely be praying for your family! I hope your Christmas turns out wonderfully no matter who you’re with. Have a great Christmas, Ella!

    1. Yeah, I really not great either, but it's still fun. That sounds so nice!
Wow! That's actually a major complement as I only use my phone camera. It's just an Iphone 5, so a little bit old at this point.
      Thank you, Riley! <3

  5. Volleyball. An interesting subject for me. I have friends who play volleyball, and one of them tried to teach me... My arms were red, and very little progress was made at the end of the day. xD It is fun to watch though! I got to go to my other friend's last volleyball game of the season.

I hope that you have a lovely Christmas season, no matter what the circumstances.

  6. MAN I'M SO FREAKIN' EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS. Like, what??? I can't believe November is over, either, so LET'S JUST PAUSE TIME FOR A LITTLE WHILE, WHILE I TRY AND STRAIGHTEN MY BRAIN OUT.

I LOVE NEWSIES. I will scream those songs with my sisters at the top of my lungs for days on end after watching Newsies. *sighs* You gotta love it. And wait, did you watch the original broadway version or the one with Christian Bale?

Seriously though, I will definitely pray for you and your family, cuz I can't even imagine what it would be like not having your family together on Christmas. But because of what I've read from you on here, I know you'll be able to make the best of it.

    Stay amazing.

  7. I know, I can't believe November is over either. :( The year is almost finished, and I can't get my head around 2018.

Thinking of your family in prayer - it sounds like that would be hard for you. I hope your Christmas is still an enjoyable time despite the difficulties. xx

NEWSIEEEES. I watched when it was on Hulu, now I guess I have to watch on Netflix!
I do the same thing with blogging -- if I can't write a good post, even if it's a posting day, I don't. I'm excited to see what you have in store this month!

  13. Divorced parents and Holidays... I know exactly what you are going through. My parents are divorced and having to be at a different house for Christmas with the family split is something I have been through. Hang in there and try to make the most of it.

Makeup brushes! I like the ones you got. I always have three brushes with me. A fluffy eye shadow brush, a huge fluffy one for powders and a small sponge one for packing on eye shadow. I enjoyed reading this post!

  14. Wow how have I never come across your blog before aha - the design + name are so cute.

Yes, I agree November went super fast - I was taking part in NaNo which definitely made it go by quicker. In fact I felt like November went so fast, without anything much happening that when I came to write a November Wrap-up, I couldn't think of anything to write about, other than NaNoWriMo so ended up doing a NaNoWriMo Wrap-up instead ahahah.

    Happy December whoooo!

    1. Aww, thank you, Lexie! I've never actually done NaNo, but from what I've perceived, it's really intense. I know I couldn't fit in a normal-ish life while working on such a long project. Haha, whatever works, right? Right back at ya!
