10 FACTS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME | A TAG!

January 24, 2018

Talking about ourselves is something most bloggers have trouble with.  Most of us blog to talk about something, not someone.  Especially not ourselves.  But I know I personally love getting to know more about my fellow bloggers.  More about their personal lives.  Their dreams and what they think about at night when they can't sleep.  I'm all for the quirky, flawed, human side of people.

A few bloggers did get to know me posts on their blogs or Instagram stories and I couldn't resist doing it myself.  It was never an "official" tag (that I hear of, at least), so I decided to make it one.  I'm hoping this challenge will help us become closer blogging friends and help us put away our "outside" selves and start being real again.
1.
I hate blood.  Like, I really hate it.  Whenever I get a cut, I cannot stand to look at it.  Veins, organs, cells, all of the above just creep me out.

2.
I often have trouble sleeping, so I write poetry at night.  To be honest, my best thinking usually happens after 11:00 PM, so it works out.

3.
I've been home schooled my whole life and love the freedom of it.  If I'm extremely interested in rocket science, then I have time to learn about it because I'm not bogged down by homework.

4.
I have two wonderful sisters.  You may have known this (as I talk about them frequently), but in case not, now you know.  My older sister, Sarah, is 20.  And my little sister Grace is 8.  So I'm am exactly in the middle of the two at 14.

5.
I see in colors, textures and feelings.  When I think about something, I never see words, only images.

6.
I love makeup.  I love watching tutorials, trying out different things and working with what I have.

7.
I've moved about 11 times and lived in 4 states.  Now I don't ever, ever want to move again.  I'm happy where I am.

8.
Theatre is very close to my heart.  It would be an absolute dream to act in Broadway one day.  I currently participate in a student run theatre near me.

9.
I was born and currently live in New Mexico - The Land Of Enchantment.  If you guys are ever out here, email me so I can meet you!  I mean, what would be more awesome than that?

10.
I'm super into stretching and do so almost every day.  I've never been a dancer before, so I'm not sure why I got into stretching.  Would you guys like a post about it?
I tag...

YOU!  Are you an amazing person with deep interesting secrets to share?  If so, consider yourself officially tagged!  Now it's your turn to tell us 10 facts about you.  Let us get a glimpse of your life behind the blog.

The rules are super simple.

Tag as many people as you like.  The more the merrier.
Link back to the person who tagged you, in this case, me.
Tell your readers 10 facts about you and share the love!

If you do this tag, I'd absolutely love to hear about it, so don't forget to let me know!
Are you going to do this tag?  Does blood make you feel faint?  Do you sleep like a rock, or do you have trouble sleeping.  Are you homeschooled?  Do you wear makeup?  Would you like to see makeup tutorial posts?  Do you have any siblings?  Have you moved very much?  Do you like stretching?  TALK TO ME IN THE COMMENT BELOW!

  1. Ooh, I'm really tempted to do this. It's so interesting to learn about other bloggers - beyond the little hints they drop in their writing.

I don't think blood makes me feel faint, but first aid videos certainly do. I have never gotten so close to passing out. I am also homeschooled (yay for fellow homeschoolers!) and I love it! Theatre though . . . there's nothing comparable. :D

Fun post! I'm still debating whether to do the tag . . . it may be a little while. Thanks for this opportunity!

  3. Wonderful 'Get to know me' post, I love hearing about different bloggers, it's kind of funny, we are very similar although, I couldn't go up on stage to perform for anything in the world. :) ;)

  4. A post on stretching would be interesting!! I'm a runner, so I probably should know more about stretching but I kind of a little bit don't...

Other Runners: You need to stretch before a run! *proceed to bend their body in 400 different directions*
Me: *attempts to touch toes* *fails* Alright, that'll do!

  5. This is such a nice idea/tag. I love getting to know other bloggers, but I totally understand the writing about something and not ourselves. Ahh I was also homeschooled my whole life and love theatre with all my heart. We're basically kindred spirits. XD Great post!

  11. This is an awesome idea, Ella! I’ll definitely be doing this tag soon! I’ve been homeschooled for most of my life (except for kindergarten and first grade). I’ve got four siblings. I’ve only majorly moved once, about three years ago, but I’ve lived in four different houses.

  13. k. seriously thinking about doing this, now.

I was home schooled too, but I'm graduated now. And I'm one of those weird people that isn't bothered by blood (which is a blessing, I guess). I don't stretch very often, but it definitely makes me feel better when I do.

Loved getting to know you a little better!!

I hate blood too. Like... I could never be a doctor. I would pass out. Seriously. It's that bad. xD

I've been homeschooled all of my life too, and I have moved A WHOLE LOT as well. Moving is... Meh. I'd prefer to stay in one place, but the adventure is pretty awesome.

    Great post! =)

Really? AHh, someone who get's how hard moving is! Yeah, I'm definitely glad we did some of it, but staying in one place is VERY nice.
