HELLO FEBRUARY

by - January 31, 2018

January.  Always a month full of aspirations and goals.  Usually a few failures along the way too.  But January has been a good month to me.  I feel as if I started off the year right where I'm supposed to be.  Which is always a great comfort.  Although I wasn't super busy, it was still a very eventful month.
January Memories

.  Okay, so the craziest thing that happened this month (actually, throughout pretty much my entire life) was that my sister got engaged.  O.o How is this even possible?  I got to help out with her and fiance's photos, so that was pretty fun, but still.  My mind is slightly blown.

.  We've been doing a copious amount of Pinterest browsing for wedding ideas.

.  Hamilton.  Yep.

Going ice skating and falling so.  Many.  Times.  My knees and tail bone hurt for days afterward.  I've always fallen many more times than any of my sisters, but they get a whole lot more injured.  Here's a random question for you: if you fell ice skating would you rather someone help you up, or get up on your own?

I've been doing an amazing amount of organizing and it feels so good.  Our little apartment is starting to feel... Minimalistic.

We went to see Wonder in theaters a while ago and let me just tell you, it was pretty dang good.  From five minutes into the movie, all the way to the end I was crying.  If you haven't seen it yet, you really should!

.  I've officially been hit hard with a book idea and can't stop thinking about it.  I'm currently in the stage of plotting it and I think I might write it for Camp NaNo this April.
Blogging

This month has been a busy, blogging wise.  February is going to be even worse, though.  I'm doing a whole month of collabs starting Saturday, so look out, world!

Photos lead to posts.

How was your January?  What's the craziest thing that happened to you?  Do you have any siblings?  Have you ever done NaNo?  Have you seen Wonder?  What's the best movie you've seen recently?  Do you enjoy ice skating?  Do you fall the whole time or is that just me???

  1. Awww! Congrats to all of you! <3 My oldest sister got married in June, and it was so surreal and bittersweet (mainly sweet, but it was such a life-changing day, you know?). I remember feeling similar when my sister got engaged. Super excited but a little in awe/sentimental!

Alsooooo...I'm glad I'm not the only one who fell SO. MANY. TIMES. while ice skating! XD I used to be pretty good at it, but I don't know what happened. :P Haha! Thankfully there weren't many injuries, but it was still awkward! :)

  2. Congrats to your family on your sister's engagement! That's got to be exciting (and maybe a little terrifying) for y'all!

I loved ice skating as a kid. I felt free on the ice (even though I might have fallen a great deal. I don't remember falling much). Roller blading/skating is an entirely different story. I hated that.

EEP! You should totally Camp NaNo!!! It's so much fun and way more relaxed than NaNo proper. I think I may even love it better. Shh. Don't tell anyone I said that.

  5. Congrats to your sister!!!

I haven't been ice skating in many years, but I do remember falling a good bit. Honestly, I'd rather someone help me up (now if it was roller skating, that might be a different story...LOL)

  6. The only time I've ever gone ice skating is in our driveway (Isn't that crazy!) and on a beaver dam. But I think my family is going to go ice skating soon... That's AWESOME that your sister is engaged!

  7. Whoa, congratulations on your sister's engagement!!! That's so exciting!
I LOVE ice skating. I personally don't fall a ton, but last time I did get terrible bruises on my knees. A guy friend of mine asked me to race, and I should have known I'd kill myself but NOOO I had to try it anyway. XD Apparently I don't know how to stop. That was the problem. The finish line was the wall, and long story short I bashed into it full-speed, kneecaps first, and knocked myself over backwards. #dignity
    Have a wonderful February! :))

  9. It's your month, Ella! XD
Your month sounds like it was a lot of fun. Whenever I'm ice skating, I'm too prideful to ask for help up. I've done NaNo three times -- you totally should do Camp NaNo this year! It would be so fun to be in the same cabin.
By the way, LOVE the changes you made to your design.

  10. Ahhh congrats to your sister!

I've gone skating so often this winter, and the last time I went (this weekend) I didn't fall at all (which hasn't happened before!) and I was very proud of myself XD

    1. Thank you! *aplaudes* How? I fall half a million times. XP In my defense the last time I went (before this month) was February 2017. Thank you for your sweet comment!
